After Marcia leaves Atira Moon she heads to Wichita to hold more sessions.(I think the Native American Grandmother I saw superimposed upon Marcia’s face is smiling)
On June 24 she teams up with Barbara Rice and the Oneness Blessing Givers at yet another Native American site in downtown Wichita near the massive sculpture of the Keeper of the Plains by Blackbear Bosin.
A symbol of Wichita and Sedgwick County, this majestic 44-foot sculpture was designed by Blackbear Bosin (1921-1980), a Kiowa-Comanche and internationally recognized artist, muralist and designer.
The 5-ton sculpture was placed at the confluence of the little and big Arkansas Rivers, which is considered a sacred site by Native Americans and was home to the Wichita tribe for many years.
Wichita residents who cannot attend the public sessions at Atira Moon should consider joining Marcia on the 24th downtown.
